Writer Update Wednesday: 5/3/23

Hi there! Happy May.

I’m not going to pretend that I’m shocked it’s already May; the truth is that April is one of the fastest-moving months of the year for me, and so I knew May would feel like it came up quick.

Spring cleaning is still in full force at my house, and I’m eagerly pulling everything out of closets and drawers so we can part with the unnecessary. The older I get, the more I care about minimalism and only having what’s needed—though I acknowledge that having things that spark joy (thanks Marie Kondo) is just as important, with the focus being on having only a few things that spark joy instead of hundreds.

Anyway, on the writing front, revisions are moving along, but I find myself becoming distracted by other projects. There are so many things I want to create, finish, publish, launch, etc and that makes it a bit hard to focus on just one project at a time. That said, I’m doing my best to stay focused on one major task—novel revisions—so that this book actually gets done instead of remaining unfinished. (Unfinished projects stress me out! That’s why I have to work so hard to finish the ones I have. :)

What are you working on this week?
