June 2023 Favorites

Hi there, happy summer! June was a mix of work challenges and relaxing family time. We’ve been to the beach, library, splash pad, and all sorts of other places, and I’m thrilled for the extra quality time we get during summer break.

As an update to last month, my copywriting & Pinterest management services website is officially launched! You can view it here. There’s still a lot more I want to add, but I’m proud to have it up, even if it’s a bit bare bones for now.

In June, I read as many books as I could, and the ones below are 100% recommended as they were my top choices from all the ones I read this month. Book Lovers had my whole heart from start to finish, and Part of Your World had my chest aching as I waited for everything to work out for Alexis and Daniel. She Gets What She Deserves is a book 2, and I’m planning to dive into book 3 next month.

Top articles, podcast episodes, and more that I enjoyed this month:

  • After listening to Hannah Berner last month on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, I learned she has her own: Berning in Hell. She’s so funny, and I’m glad to have another hilarious podcast in my queue.

  • A $9 mini course on book blurb writing by Stacy Juba — I’m going to write a blog post about this soon where I tell y’all exactly how much this resource has helped me, but for now I just want to mention that Stacy Juba’s Book Blurbs Made Simple is absolutely worth the money. Go check out Book Blurbs Made Simple.

My favorite books I read in June:

This month in music:

My top artists for June were ATEEZ, Katatonia, SepticFlesh, Monsta X, and Soen. Here’s my full chart.

My favorite Amazon purchases of the month:

One of my kids needed a new tablet this month, so we went with this Amazon Fire Kids tablet.

Hot summer months mean I need my hair up, and these claw clips are 1) huge, so they get all of my long hair up off my neck, and 2) neutral so they go with all of my outfits.

Adult coloring books are one of my top relaxing activities of choice, and glitter pens make the experience more fun. PS: my kids love them too!
